A chance to legislate against off-roading

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Outdoor Recreation for Access to Nature is asking for ideas to help it draw up new policies and legislation – this includes the use of green lanes and other public rights of way.

This is an important moment to call for action to curb off-roading by 4x4s, motor bikes and quadbikes.
Please try to find time to tell the Group about the problems being caused by off-roading and the need for new legislation to bring it to an end.

The consultation questionnaire is straightforward and easy to complete. It is at APPG for Outdoor Recreation and Access to Nature – Call for Evidence.

The question where your evidence will be most relevant is ‘How could new legislation and policy enable more people to make use of existing access opportunities and public rights of way?’ You could point out here how off-roaders deter other people from using green lanes.
The closing date is 20 July.
